01

Work with the rhythm of the space.

A lounge invites people to stay. Artwork may be viewed from a booth, reflected in a mirror or glimpsed behind the bar. Consider those seated views before choosing the crop and scale. A piece can support the room’s character without competing with bottles, menus and decorative lighting.

02

Choose a subject with a connection.

A personal music reference, an original portrait or a graphic interpretation of the venue’s story can create a more lasting identity than unrelated vintage signs. Brian can discuss a restrained palette for an upscale room or a bolder retro direction for a music bar. Materials and lighting should be considered together.

03

Keep practical conditions in the brief.

Back-bar positions may be exposed to moisture, cleaning products or heat. Public areas may invite touching. Describe those conditions and who maintains the space before selecting a physical format. A cube mosaic’s depth and weight require a different display plan from a framed illustration.

Share photographs from customer seating and staff work areas, plus dimensions and the preferred installation window.

Questions about your artwork

Can the artwork go behind the bar?

Possibly, after reviewing exposure, clearance, support and cleaning needs. The location should be assessed before a material or mounting method is promised.

What should I send first?

Start with the subject or idea, approximate dimensions, a description of the space, your location and desired timing. Brian can explain which reference images or site details will help next.

Independent artwork by Brian Bemo. No affiliation with or endorsement by depicted artists, estates or brands is implied. Commercial and room mockups are concepts where labeled.
