The useful starting package includes elevations, clear wall dimensions, room photographs or renderings, palette references and intended viewing distances. Explain the client’s priorities and the role of the artwork in the scheme. Include the desired installation date and any site constraints.
02
Separate visual approval from technical coordination.
A concept mockup can establish composition and scale. Material selection, weight, backing and mounting require their own decisions. Identify who confirms site dimensions and support conditions, and who coordinates specialist engineering or installation if needed.
Brian develops the artwork with those requirements in view rather than treating it as a final accessory selected after construction.
03
Set a workable review path.
Agree the design decision maker, proof stages and the point at which the physical build begins. Changes after approval can affect cost and timing. Discuss image rights, exclusivity, photography and reproduction expectations with the client before the scope is finalized.
Trade pricing or procurement terms are not assumed; they are part of the individual proposal. Projects in Scottsdale and elsewhere can begin with a remote design conversation and supplied site information.
YOUR PROJECT
Tell Brian what you have in mind.
Share the subject, approximate dimensions, display location and timing in the existing inquiry form. Mention that your project is an art commission. Brian will discuss the idea, current availability and the appropriate next step before a scope is agreed.
A placement or composition study can be included in the agreed design scope. It is a visualization for review, not a structural drawing or evidence of a completed installation.
What should I send first?
Start with the subject or idea, approximate dimensions, a description of the space, your location and desired timing. Brian can explain which reference images or site details will help next.
