01

Give the collection a focal point.

Cabinets, pinball machines, consoles and memorabilia already bring strong visual detail. The artwork can unify them around a subject or provide a clear contrast. Start with what you most want to celebrate: the arcade era you grew up with, a particular person, a meaningful game-night memory or a personal graphic concept.

02

Use the viewing distance to choose the detail.

A cube portrait can read as a complete image across the room and reveal its hand-applied colors up close. Dense lettering or many small figures may be less effective beside glowing screens. Photograph the wall with the machines and lighting on so the design can be considered in the room’s actual atmosphere.

03

Make the commission personal.

Bring a few references and explain why they matter. Brian can explore retro illustration, a portrait or a hand-built mosaic rather than combining every gaming icon into one busy image. The completed Prince mosaic demonstrates the physical technique; room-placement visuals are labeled as concepts.

Include wall dimensions, cabinet clearance, intended lighting and the location. Physical artworks need appropriate support and access for delivery, particularly when a room is upstairs or reached through narrow doors.

Questions about your artwork

Can the artwork combine gaming and music?

Yes. A shared color palette, personal memory or central subject can connect them. The design review helps keep the result readable instead of overcrowding it with references.

What should I send first?

Start with the subject or idea, approximate dimensions, a description of the space, your location and desired timing. Brian can explain which reference images or site details will help next.
